Welcome to “Anand Ganesh Matru Mandir”, a pious temple on the outskirts of Mumbai in Pen, on the Mumbai-Goa NH17 route.

What strikes you most as the characteristic of this temple, is the astonishing way it has been built. Adorned in marble specially ordered from Jaipur, the architecture of the temple is awesome & completely breathtaking.

The temple boasts of having 8 pillars on which a dome shape has been erected. The distinguishing factor of these pillars is that each pillar has forms of Lord Ganesha in His divine 8 avatars, the Ashtavinayak forms. Even though “Lord Ganesh and Jagatjanani Mata ” are the main deity of significance, there are numerous other deities that make up the entire essence of the temple. There are small temples which are a part of this temple viz that of Lord Shree Krisna, Kamashini Mata, Radha Krisna, Brahma Brahami, Shree Datta, Shiv Parvati, Vishnu Lakshmi, Lord Tirupati.

In addition there are few more Mandirs viz Sai Mandir, Gayatri Mata Mandir and one Mandir dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kalimata Kalbhairav & Vetal, Siddhi Vinayak Mandir , Hanumanji Mandir , Vithal Rukhmai Mandir , Vishnu Lakshmi Mandir , Santoshi Mata Mandir and Shiv Parvati Mandir which are built in the campus.

Later three new Mandir’s were built. One of the Mandir is dedicated for Vaishnodevi & Bhairavnath. An effort is made to create an exact replica of original Vaishnodevi Mandir. It is built in a 200 feet cave. The feel and the ambience is so breathtaking, one can only understand it when experienced. Proper care of ventilation inside the cave is taken for the safety of devotees.

Second Mandir is dedicated to Nine Avtars of MAA Shakti viz Shailputri, Brahamcharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata ,Katyayani ,Kaalratri, MahaGauri, Siddhidatri along with Nav Durga.

Third Mandir is dedicated to Mahalaxmi, Mahasarawati, Mahakali along with Ram Parivar and Shrinathji Mahaprbhuji and Jamnaji.

The complex is spread over one and half acre on top of small hill. It is beautified by a Garden, water fountain, and two lawns evenly spread.

All this is possible because one man had a vision, Mr. Anand Hande, affectionately known as Annasaheb. He along with his son, Mr. Mohan Anand Hande had been actively involved in developing the most peaceful & spiritually blessed arena in the form of temples. Their sole motive was to give people a chance to fall in love with spiritualism and joys of bliss that come with it.

Annasaheb was a spiritual guru and was completely focused on spreading his views and positives to many. As fate can have it, his eldest grandson, Dr. Tushar Hande was a keen follower of spiritualism and it was but natural that Annasaheb made him the heir to his legacy. But Dr. Tushar was apprehensive. He was not prepared to take such a huge responsibility. Then an event happened that changed his perception and outlook. On a visit to the temple when he and his friend were all alone they experienced the strong presence of all the deities around them. What was even more celestial was that the friend observed a saintly figure behind Dr. Tushar blessing him with his presence. The figure was none other than Annasahebs spiritual Guru who enthroned Dr. Tushar as his disciple and urged him to visit the temple every Friday. And to this day Dr. Tushar has been an avid visitor to the holy temple every Friday, at any cost.
